MARCH 2011 – Enica working with Welsh Colleges to roll-out aMM&T Systems

Enica are pleased to announce that we are working with four major College institutions throughout Wales to help specify, procure and utilise automated Metering, Monitoring and Targeting systems. The 12 month project, funded by the Carbon Trust and the Welsh Assembly Government will look to develop the installation of advanced metering communications systems and the connection of over 400 meters to aMM&T software solutions. Enica will spend the next 6 months providing professional bureau services and remote monitoring to analyse the data and identify savings. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SEPTEMBER 2010 – Enica to role out 5,000 Smart Meters in Lithuania.

Over the next 4 years, Enica will be working in partnership with the Lithuanian Transmission Supply Organisation “Lietuvos Energija” to develop a pilot Smart Electricity Grid with the installation and operation of 5,000 Smart Meters across the country. The project comes at a time when Smart Grid is about to take-off across the globe and also includes the integration of off-shore wind renewable's and renovation of the Kruonis Pumped Storage Hydro electric plant near the city of Kaunas. David Harden who will lead the project for Enica commented “We aim to investigate the likely barriers to full-scale roll out of Smart Grid and Smart Metering across the whole of Lithuania. Objectives for Enica will be to investigate suitable communication methodologies and data collection systems for Smart Metering and assist Lietuvos Energija in allowing “Time of Use” electricity tariffs and other grid balancing incentives to be developed meaning the impact of more renewable energy systems will be maximised”.

OCTOBER 2009 - Enica would like to welcome on-board Mike McCabe.

This month we have expanded our metering team to include Mike McCabe. Formerly working for Linux Operating System giant Red Hat, Mike will be heading up development of new and exciting software to help you guys Save Energy!

OCTOBER 2009 - Enica to work with every NHS Trust in Wales.

Enica is delighted to announce that it will be working alongside each of the NHS Trusts in Wales to review energy saving schemes that have been undertaken over the past few years. We aim to identify the energy saving projects that have been a success, and those that haven't quite delivered. This data will be fed back to the Welsh Assembly Government and the Carbon Trust.

MAY 2009 - Enica help Rhondda Cynon Taf Council to identify HUGE energy savings!.

This month, we've been busy helping our local council, Rhondda Cynon Taf in identifying some major energy saving schemes at schools, leisure centres, care homes and offices. The project is the starting point for a whole host of energy saving initiatives to help prevent energy wastage at the council.

APRIL 2009 - David Harden selected for the 'Who's Who of Britain's Business Elite Young Business Leaders 2009'.

David has been selected from countless applicants in this very prestigious publication. ' less than 2% of the UK's young Directors achieve this award.' David commented "With our recent developments in developing Enica's own range of Smart Metering systems, the last year has been very busy. NOVEMBER 2008 - Phase 2 of the Welsh Assembly Government/Bridgend Council/ Carbon Trust Smart Metering Pilot Project is Completed.

In late November Enica completed Phase 2 of the Smart Metering Pilot Project for the above consortium. For 6 months Enica has guided numerous businesses in Bridgend (South Wales) through implementation of Energy Saving Measures identified as a result of installing Enica Smart Metering Systems.

NOVEMBER 2008 - Enica wins it's First Export of Smart Metering Systems to Europe.

November saw the initial launch of the Opti-Pulse Classic, a retro-fit meter upgrade providing pulse outputs from meters with red flashing LED's. Since it's launch, sales to Spain and Ireland have boomed. Many purchasers are connecting the Opti-Pulse Classic to Building Management Systems (BMS).

OCTOBER 2008 - Enica Complete DEC for Wales Millennium Centre

Enica released one of the first building DEC Certificates post the 1st October Deadline. The Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay is one of the most recognised buildings in the UK. The building achieved a fantastic "B" Grade!

February 2008 - Enica wins the Welsh Assembly Government/Bridgend Council/ Carbon Trust Smart Metering Pilot Project.

Enica has won the contract to roll out the Welsh Assembly Government/Bridgend Council/Carbon Trust Smart Metering for SME's Pilot Project. The project will involve supply and installation of Enica's Smart Metering Systems to Electric and Gas meters at a portfolio of sites in Bridgend (South Wales). Enica will then spend 6 months supporting each business to understand metering data and achieve Energy, Cost and Carbon Savings.
